I need not write at any length about the importance of SINAI to our community, for its accomplishments are well known and its necessity self-evident. SINAI is the only Jewish day school for children with special needs that has received accreditation from the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. It maintains a professional staff-to-student ratio of greater than 1:2 and provides many specialized services through its highly-trained professionals. If all our local yeshivot struggle financially in these difficult times, SINAI carries a unique burden that merits our special support. Tuition accounts for only about 55% of SINAI's budget. The other 45% (about $20,000 per student, on average) must be generated through fundraising, and especially the annual dinner.
I respectfully urge everyone to be especially generous in your support of SINAI this year because of the importance of SINAI to our community and the enormous financial challenges faced by SINAI. You can make reservations or donations at www.sinaischools.org, or by calling 201-833-1134.
