Wow! We are live and on the air. The very first of many Youth Blogs.
Divsha and I are excited to let everyone know about a very exciting program coming up December 6th, this Sunday Night from 5:30 until 7:30 PM!
LATKEFEST 2009
We are going to have a blast. We are going to have Bingo for the whole family with 2 major competitions going on at the same time.
The first will be a NCAA style Dreidel competition. Our last one, 2 years ago, featured 128 competitors and a heated finals match between Steven Gelb and our eventual winner Chava Hosseinof. Chava has already told us that she will be returning to defend her crown. Parents, children and group leaders are welcome to compete.
The second competition will be a latke eating competition, not for the gastronomically challenged. We will feature several age divisions, from Nursery/Prek to Group Leader/Adult.
The price is $10/person with a $30 max, parents count as people too, if they are competing.
There will be great prizes, music and a ton of fun.
We hope to see everyone there.
