On Wednesday, March 10 at 8pm, Rinat is hosting the 10th Yahrzeit of Dr.
Gershon Kranzler, a"h Memorial Shiur, featuring Rabbi Dr. Yehuda Septimus,
Rabbi of the Young Israel of North Woodmere. Topic: "Awakening
Appreciation: The History of Modeh Ani and the Challenge of Formalized
Prayer." Coalition to follow Maariv at 9:15pm.

Rabbi Adler's Wednesday shiur - change in schedule: Due to the Kranzler
Yahrzeit shiur, the Wednesday night Mishna shiur will take place this week

Chanukat HaBayit Youth Event THIS SUNDAY!

Chanukat HaBayit Psyche-Up Event:

Nursery through 6th Grade: on Sunday, March 14, 2010 from 10:30am-12:00pm.
We are preparing for Hachnasat Sefer Torah. Please come and help decorate
musical instruments, make flags and banner, decorate the poles for Chupah,
and we will even be making edible Torahs. It's free! Come and have fun!
Can't wait to see your kids there!

Two very important elections are coming up locally. There will be elections for the local Boards of Education on Tuesday - April 20th and for the Teaneck Township Council on Tuesday - May 11th.

Bonnie Berman Memorial Program at "Bergen Reads"

In Memory of our beloved friend, Bonnie Berman, A Memorial  Campaign has been developed to provide both manpower and books to the “Bergen Reads” Program. 

Additional Shacharit Minyan on Wednesday, February 10.

NNJ Kids January Update

NNJKIDS acknowledges with appreciation the following Rinat members (representing 25% of total membership) who have signed up for NNJKIDS.  You are part of an unprecedented communal effort to ensure that all children in our community receive a quality dual curriculum education.  Thanks to you, close to $200,000 has been distributed to local day schools so far; the next quarterly payment will be distributed in February, 2009.

OU Positive Parenting Conference

The Orthodox Union and Yavneh Academy invite the entire community to a Positive Parenting Conference. The evening will feature concurrent workshops by leading parenting experts and Keynote Address by Rabbi Jacob J. Schacter. The event will take place on Motzei Shabbat, December 26 at Yavneh Academy, 155 N. Farview Avenue, Paramus, NJ. Registration begins at 7:00pm, and the first sessions begin at 7:30pm.  Admission is $15 per couple in advance, $20 at the door. NNJ Kids Rinat Update

Over the past year, a unique coalition encompassing all local day schools, community Rabbis and lay leaders has been working intensively to address the systemic issue of Day School affordability in a strategic, sustainable manner. This group, known as Jewish Education for Generations (JEFG), provides an unprecedented opportunity to work across our entire day school network and the broader community to identify and execute solutions to the challenge facing Day School parents. At this point, JEFG is the only such integrated, nondenominational network in the United States.
