Were Tearing The House Down

February was a Super Month!!!

During the month of February we had a series of fantastic programs. We started off the month with our always exciting snow tubing program. Over 100 children from all over Teaneck, the largest group from Rinat Yisrael, went to Camp Gaw for an evening of night snow tubing. Everyone had a great time, no one got hurt and we can’t wait until next year. The very next day we had our second annual pre-Super Bowl party. Always a fun event, our 2nd and 3rd graders had the choice of playing football in our very own Rinat Youth mud pit, while those who did not wish to get dirty played ga-ga indoors.  Everyone had a great time and I would like to thank all the leaders who made sure that these programs were a great success.

Two weeks later, we had our slightly delayed but always enjoyable Shabbat meals.  Over 50 children joined us for Friday night dinner or Shabbat lunch in the Rinat Yisrael Grand Ballroom. We played some great games including some fantastic improvisational exercises, we ate some great food, sang some spirited z’mirot and followed that all up with walking groups home.  We also experienced the great flood of 2008 and we would like to thank Del, Dan Landsman and Adina for saving the day and ensuring that our Youth Center remains a safe environment for kids.

March should be another great month.

The junior congregation girl’s group will be having a Oneg Shabbat at the Fiorino home.  We would like to thank the Fiorinos for hosting this event.  We will also be offering several different programs on and around Purim, including the family megillah reading, our annual magic show and hopefully a visit to the Jewish Assisted Living Home of River Vale.
