Rabbi Carmi Horowitz Shiurim- Shabbat, September 10th. Pre-Mincha Shiur, 5:40pm. "Are Rabbinic Aggadot Binding? Early and Later Authorities on the Significance of Aggadot Ḥazal." Shiur between Mincha and Maariv, On Perpetuating the Mesorah: How Do We Fulfill "Raise Up Many Disciples?" Main Shul.
Junior High Mishna Shiur Returns- Shabbat, September 10th, between Mincha and Maariv. The shiur is open to all middle school (grades 6, 7 and 8) students, both young women and young men. Every Shabbat afternoon, participants play a bit of Jeopardy and study Mishna together in an enjoyable, entertaining and engaging manner. This year, the Shiur will study the Mishnayot of Masechet Sanhedrin, which describe the Halachic court system. Beit Midrash back room.
Rav Mosheh Lichtenstein and Rabbi Dr. Benjamin Samuels– Sunday, September 11th, 8pm. “The Roots of Teshuva: The Hidden Depths of Return and Renewal in the Thought of Rav Aharon Lichtenstein, z”l.” Moderated by Rabbi Strauchler, with remarks by Dr. Tovah Lichtenstein.
