Pre-Mincha shiur: Shabbat, September 16, 5:30pm - Shoshana Samuels, Yoetzet Halacha. Topic: Aleinu Leshabeach's central placement in our Tefillah: Who, What, When & Why? This pre-mincha shiur will study the contested authorship of our national credo of Aleinu L'shabeiach as well as its variations in text and the history of its placement in closing each of our daily prayers. A close look at this prayer positioned in Musaf of Rosh HaShanah is especially in order as we prepare to re-coronate HaKadosh Baruch Hu on the Yamim Noraim.
