With the end of our fiscal year approaching at the end of May, (next week) please make sure to pay all outstanding amounts as soon as possible and before month-end.  Payments can be made by credit card at www.rinat.org , or by check. Rinat Bollard Installation
You may notice some work being done around the shul. We are in the process of making security enhancements that are intended to keep us safer. Specifically, per the recommendation of professional security assessments conducted over the past year and as coordinated by the shul’s security committee, the shul is installing bollards and boulders in key areas in front of the shul to protect against vehicular ramming attack. The install will take place over the next few days and will be completed before Shabbat. Parking lot access will not be affected. Other security upgrades are planned for the near future and we will send an update on those upgrades at a future date

Schedule:  Drasha after 9am Shacharit: Would That all of God's People were Prophets! On Discourse and Polarization in the Jewish Community; Pre-mincha Shabbat afternoon at 6:45pm: Considering Religious Materialism: Challenges and Opportunities.  In this shiur, we will offer lenses from both Chazal and contemporary sociologists of the complicated role that wealth can, and perhaps, should play in the contemporary religious community.  After mincha (scheduled for 7:45pm): What Makes Legal Loopholes Religious?  In this session, we will trace the conscious development of rabbinic ideology around the use of legal circumvention within the Mishnah, Tosefta and the Talmud.

Sunday evening, June 3, 8:00pm - Dara Horn, Acclaimed Novelist, Discussing her new book "Eternal Life" with Sandee Brawarsky, Culture Editor of The Jewish Week.
Dara Horn is the author of five critically acclaimed novels, including "In the Image", "The World to Come" and "A Guide for the Perplexed".  She has been named one of Granta's Best of Young American Novelists. A speaker of Hebrew and Yiddish, Horn has a Ph.D in comparative literature from Harvard, and has taught and lectured at universities around the country. She weaves philosophy, faith and history into her fiction. Horn lives in New Jersey with her husband and four children.
