On Discourse and Polarization in the Jewish Community; Pre-mincha Shabbat afternoon at 6:45pm: Considering Religious Materialism: Challenges and Opportunities  In this shiur, we will offer lenses from both Chazal and contemporary sociologists of the complicated role that wealth can, and perhaps, should play in the contemporary religious community.  After mincha (scheduled for 7:45pm): What Makes Legal Loopholes Religious?  In this session, we will trace the conscious development of rabbinic ideology around the use of legal circumvention within the Mishnah, Tosefta and the Talmud.
