SOCIAL ACTION PROGRAMS
CALLING ALL KIDS: No one likes mosquitoes, but in Africa many of them carry diseases that can make people very sick with malaria.  But you can help!  We are collecting money to buy special nets to cover the beds where African families sleep and protect them from dangerous mosquito bites. THIS Sunday, June 10 from 1:00-2:30pm, please join us to decorate special tzedaka boxes that you can use to collect money during the year for this important cause.
Each year, half a million people in Africa die from malaria, and another 400 million get sick from this disease.  Since malaria is generally spread by mosquitoes, a solution as simple as sleeping under a protective mosquito net can dramatically reduce the incidence of this deadly disease.  We are partnering with the Against Malaria Foundation to raise money for the purchase of these nets.  The Foundation has already provided over 71 million nets, saving countless lives!  It costs only $2 to buy a net, and our goal is for every member of the shul to sponsor at least one.  Please help us achieve 100% participation in this easy life-saving tzedaka! 9:00AM WEEKDAY MINYAN TO BEGIN
Now that the academic school year has drawn to a close, we will begin our additional 9:00am daily weekday Shacharit minyan on Monday, June 11. This minyan takes place in the Beit Midrash throughout the summer months.  Please join us if this fits your schedule.
