Message from the Teaneck Police Department:

There has been a rash of car thefts in the Tri-state area which has now made its way to Teaneck, Mahwah and surrounding areas. The crime ring is looking for high-end vehicles unlocked in driveways with key fobs left inside. Please make sure to lock your vehicles, do not leave fobs or visible valuables in your vehicles, even if parked on your own property or in a private parking lot. Teaneck Police Department has requested that all citizens be vigilant and observant for any suspicious activity, regardless of the day or hour, including weekends.  For security purposes, it is imperative that community members report suspicious activity and all crimes in real time to local law enforcement, no matter the day or the hour.
